BlackBerry Enterprise Server
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server is the centre of RIM's BlackBerry wireless solution and the key to the seamless connectivity between BlackBerry handset and client desktop. When users move, change or delete email messages, contacts or other information such as attachments, the changes are reconciled wirelessly between handheld and
computer via the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server utilises the latest encryption technology to ensure total security beyond the firewall. BlackBerry has received FIPS 140 validation by utilising end-to-end AES or Triple DES encryption and satisfies the stringent levels of data confidentiality required by national governments.
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server therefore combines both unique wireless capability and top-level security, providing a unified structure for mobile access to enterprise applications and wireless email communication.
