Blackberry not ringing

My Curve does not ring anymore. The vibrate function still works, and the keys make noise when you touch them, but the speaker makes no noise when it is supposed to be ringing. I have tried turning it on and off and have removed the battery for a restart. Any ideas?

Have you checked the Profiles havent been muted?
Menu > Profiles > Advanced > Active profile > Phone >
Make sure Out Of Holster and and In Holster is set to Tone or Vibrate+Tone.

Ive checked that but its still playing up.
I think it may just be a faulty device.

I would suggest that you try updating the firmware on the deivce as it very much sounds like a corrupt device.

Ive tried the above, but am still having the same problem.
Does this mean my device speaker is actually faulty?

If the above hasnt sorted it out for you, I would recommend taking the BB back to your supplier for inspection.
The speaker is covered under warranty so shouldnt be a problem getting it replaced (Unless you've accidently poured a cup of tea over it whilst doing something on the computer,lol).

I've had same problem - when someone rings you on vibrate and tone it vibrates 3 times THEN rings, try changing it to vibrate once and see if it works!
