Overview
When creating a new appointment on the BlackBerry smartphone, there is no option to invite an attendee.
Cause
The BlackBerry smartphone is not configured for wireless synchronization.
Resolution
Complete the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Navigate to and open the Calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone.
- Press the menu key and select Options.
- Select the Desktop calendar.
Note: If the BlackBerry smartphone is running BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.2.2 or earlier, skip step 3. - Highlight Wireless Synchronization.
- Click the trackball, trackpad, or trackwheel, and select Yes.
- Press menu and select Save.
Note: Wait for the Calendar to synchronize again before trying to invite an attendee.
Workaround
Complete the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Delete all data from the BlackBerry smartphone. For directions see KB02318.
- Remove the user account from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For directions see KB11638.
- Add the user account again to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For directions see KB11638.
- Activate the BlackBerry smartphone over the wireless network. For information, see KB03674.
