Overview
When navigating to Options -> Security Options -> Certificates, BlackBerry smartphones that are configured for S/MIME and configured to use OCSP receive the following error message when they select a certificate, select Details, and then click "Fetch Status":
"Certificate for OCSP responder could not be found."
Resolution This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
Workaround
To work around this issue, complete the appropriate following option:
- Navigate to Options -> Security Options -> Certificates, highlight the certificate and press the BlackBerry smartphone menu button and select "Fetch Status". The status of the certificate will be returned successfully.
- Configure the BlackBerry MDS to connect to an OCSP server (for example, from BlackBerry Manager> MDS> OCSP> Default Responder URL) which has its certificate installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.
